12th Grade: The real deal
I applied to the University of Utah and The University of Utah's Honors College. Spoiler: I got accepted! I am so excited to start at the U and be a part of the the honors program! I am very proud of the essay I wrote for my Honors College application. And rightfully so, seeing as I got accepted. I thought it was a creative spin on the topic. My essay is attached below. I just want to point out that my essay was EXACTLY 500 characters and my required tweet was EXACTLY 140 characters. Enjoy reading my essay about pie!

College Tours:
Over spring break of 2013 I went with my family to California and did many many college tours, mainly for my brothers benefit; but it ended up being very useful for me as well. We looked at schools like Stanford, Cal Poly, Cal Tech, and many more. The following summer we went to the east coast to do the same. We looked at MIT, Frank Olen, and a few others. Although these tours were meant for my brother, it was very useful for me to get an early look at colleges and what they expect. It let me see what kinds of things I wanted in a college and the things I would have to do to get there. These tours gave me a realistic look on college and an early expectation on what I need to accomplish.
