Mastering the French Macaron
The first French macaron I ever tasted was a rose macaron while vacationing in Oregon. I instantly fell in love. I never had macarons often, but it became a tradition for me to try macarons while on vacation if the opportunity arose. For example, over the summer of 2015 I enjoyed macarons in Germany and Amsterdam.
Due to my love of macarons, I wanted to try making them myself. My friend and I took on the challenge! And failed. Miserably. I would not accept this defeat! I was determined to master the French Macaron! I paired this project with an ISearch paper for my Writing 1010 class. I dove into the mystery of the macaron and uncovered it secrets until I could successfully make French macarons. |
Research |
On my quest, I did a lot of research on how to be successfu when making French macarons. French macarons are very temperamental and can be easily ruined. I had to find tips and tutorials from people who know how to make them. My final essay is attached below and includes my Works Cited (Bibliography).

Journal/Log |
My project was completed by writing a paper on the topic, doing a presentation, and, of course, having the ability to make decent macarons. Both the paper and the power point are attached below. Note: The PowerPoint does not have any text because I used it simply as a visual aid during my verbal presentation.
Bon appetit!
